After a great deal of extremely fun research, I happy to announce the launch of two new food tours. I’ve partnered with amazing people who have a passion for great food and whose cups overflow with aloha. These new Kauai food tours introduce guests to our favorite places and people who make fresh food from scratch, using local ingredients whenever possible. New Tasting Menu at Hukilau Lanai

Hukilau Lanai has made some changes to their dynamite tasting menu. It’s also a great deal. From 5 to 5:45 p.m., five courses of fine dining for only $32. If you add wine, it’s $50.00. A gluten-free menu is also available, so ask the server when you order. Reservations are required, to make them visit the Hukilau Lanai Kauai website. Over the past two years our food tours have enabled us to meet some amazing people from all over the world. We have watched our guests’ eyes light up as they taste just-picked pineapples, noting that they tasted nothing like the store-bought kind — which are picked before they’re ripe so they can be shipped long distances. On our tours, we have had guests of all ages and it was delightful to watch children stuff their mouths with bright red mountain apples as seniors were invigorated by the fresh tropical air and lush landscaping.
