RumFire Poipu Beach presents Evening Happenings

RumFire Poipu Beach at Sheraton Kauai Resort continues to turn up the heat with “Evening Happenings”, offering daily specials for every night of the week. Guests enjoy 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean and take in Kauai’s signature fiery sunsets at the south shore’s newest hotspot, open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner.

  • Monday: Mai Tai Madness

Kalapaki Joe’s and Poipu Beach Resort Association Announce the 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Music Fest and Fireworks Celebration at Poipu Beach Park

Kalapaki Joe’s, in partnership with Poipu Beach Resort Association, is hosting the New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31, 2012 at Poipu Beach Park. The event, which is complimentary and open to the public begins at 5 p.m. with live local music, food booths, keiki (children’s) tent, and culminates with a spectacular fireworks show at 9:20 p.m.

The Kalapaki Joe’s Music Fest features bands from the Islands including Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winning musician Anuhea. Known for blending engaging lyrics, acoustic soul, pop, rap and reggae, Anuhea has earned the reputation as Hawaii’s number one female artist. Other performers include Kauai’s Revival and Papa’a Bay Boys, as well as Dustin Thomas who is back in the Islands after a West Coast tour. Continue Reading →

Roy’s Poipu

Matthew Dela Cruz, executive chef of Roy’s Poipu Bar & Grill, is resigning. The chef makes Kauai proud, having graduated from the Culinary Program at Kauai Comminity College. He began at Roy’s 12-years ago, and has been the executive chef for the last five.
