In less than nine months, the Surfrider Foundation and its coalition of partners have certified more than 100 Ocean Friendly Restaurants in Hawaii. This statewide program, which kicked off on Earth Day 2016, recognizes restaurants leading the way in environmental protection by operating without foam and plastic.   Continue Reading →

Sheraton Kauai’s Table 53 Hits $100,000 Milestone

Sheraton Kauai Resort announces that over $100,000 has been donated to benefit the Kauai community through the resort’s Table 53 charity program since its inception in October 2012. On a monthly basis, all net food and beverage proceeds from RumFire Poipu Beach’s table number 53 is donated to a local charity. In June, proceeds from Table 53 will support the islands’ keiki through the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii. Continue Reading →
