Sheraton Kauai's Table 53 Hits $100,000 Milestone
Sheraton Kauai Resort announces that over $100,000 has been donated to benefit the Kauai community through the resort’s Table 53 charity program since its inception in October 2012. On a monthly basis, all net food and beverage proceeds from RumFire Poipu Beach’s table number 53 is donated to a local charity. In June, proceeds from Table 53 will support the islands’ keiki through the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii.
Sheraton Kauai recognizes that the vitality of the resort is directly linked to the vitality of the community where it operates. In previous months, Table 53 has raised funds for charitable programs that serve the island in various ways; from feeding the island’s hungry, supporting our ailing neighbors, nurturing Kauai’s keiki and many more needs in the community.
“We want to extend a warm mahalo to our island ohana who dined with us at Table 53 over the last two years,” says Sheraton Kauai Resort General Manager Chip Bahouth. “We are proud to support the many worthy programs within our island community.”
The June charity, Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii (BGCH), is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring Hawaii’s youth to become responsible citizens. BGCH currently operates 14 sites on Oahu and Kauai, where BGCH members can access a multitude of programs and services. The organization’s mission is to inspire young people to become responsible citizens. Its role is to create a safe place for kids to grow, provide mentoring by a professionally-trained staff and caring volunteers, nurture character development and life-enhancing skills, and inspire hope and opportunity.
The Table 53 program is offered at RumFire Poipu Beach, the south shore’s oceanfront hot spot, featuring locally sourced cuisine with global influences, exciting cocktails and 180-degree oceanfront views from all of its 240 seats. Table 53 features private booth seating overlooking the beautifully landscaped Ocean Courtyard, inviting fire pits, and Kauai’s stunning sunsets. Guests can enjoy nightly specials and signature RumFire favorites all while supporting a worthy cause.
Patrons who are interested in participating in RumFire’s month-long Table 53 program are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808.742.4786 and requesting Table 53, which is available on a first come, first serve basis. Net proceeds for all food and beverage at Table 53 during dinner service will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, gratuity will be paid to the server and taxes will be remitted to the State of Hawaii.
